When choosing a program at a community college consider some of Maryland’s largest employers. This will increase your chances of getting hired right out of college. Here are some University System of Maryland, Johns Hopkins Hospital & University, MedStar Health, Aberdeen Proving Ground, U.S. Social Security Administration, Northrop Grumman, Lockheed Martin and many more.

Search for a 2 year college near your home in from Baltimore to Silver Spring to Bethesda. Unless you’re going to be living on campus it’s important to consider commute time and the additional cost of commuting.

If you’re looking for a more traditional college experience consider a community college with on-campus housing. For many dorms are an essential part of college. Both Allegany College of Maryland and Garrett College have dorms.
